Cross Stitch 101 Workshop - August 26th, 2026

Have you wanted to cross stitch but aren't sure how? Start here with our FREE Cross Stitch 101 Workshop on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 6-8pm in Room 2A at the Hilliard Branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library (4500 Hickory Chase Way, Hilliard, OH 43026).

During the workshop, Hannah will walk you through the basics of cross stitching so that you can complete your chosen project! Please note: while the workshop is free, you must bring a cross stitch project to work on. Cross stitching projects are not provided for you. If you would like to try one of our beginner-friendly cross stitch projects, view our collection of kits here! (Please note- purchasing one of our cross stitch kits is not required to attend the workshop. You are free to choose any cross stitching project that you like! Please make sure that it has the necessary supplies (listed below under FAQs) that you need to bring to this workshop).

FAQs:

• What is included with my ticket?
  • Your free ticket guarantees you a spot at our cross stitching workshop. We are limiting tickets to 15 people at this time to ensure everyone can see the demonstration, have their questions answered, etc.
• Who can come to this workshop?
  • Everyone is welcome at our cross stitching workshop! However, please note that cross stitching does involve needles, so this is not a craft that is recommended for very small children. (For context, Hannah started cross stitching around age 8. Every child is different, so please use your best judgment when it comes to your own children.)
• Do I need to know anything about cross stitch before I attend?
  • Nope! Hannah will walk through each step of cross stitching during the workshop, so if you have never touched a needle before, that is completely okay!
• What do I need to bring to this workshop?
  • Please bring a cross stitch kit to work on during the workshop. This would include a pattern, threads, a needle, and aida fabric to stitch on. If you would like to bring one of our beginner-friendly kits, click here to see our options that are currently available.

For attendees that would like to purchase one of our kits and would rather pick up the kit at the event instead of having it shipped to you in advance, please email Hannah at novelsandneedles@gmail.com, and she will be happy to create an invoice for you without shipping!
